[August 2024]: Center for Future Work Places and Practices co-organized Advancing Agriphotovoltaics in Virginia Workshop, which is supported by the 4-VA Program. [July 2024]: Congratulations to Azat Nurmukhametov for successfully passing his Ph.D. defense! Azat will join St. Lawrence University as a visiting Assistant Professor. [July 2024]: Dr. Ge was featured in +Policy Fellow Research Highlight. [June 2024]: Dr. Ge was a keynote speaker at Workshop on New Productive Forces and High-Standard Opening Up. [May 2024]: Dr. Ge started to chair the steering comittee of the Virginia Tech Chinese American Faculty Alliances (CAFA). [May 2024]: Thanks to the College of Science Dean's Discovery Fund for supporting our project on "Changes in US Semiconductor Production in the Context of Global Value Chain Transformation." This is a joint project with Dr. Lingjia Liu, Dr. Le Wang, and Dr. Cindy Yi. [May 2024]: Congratulations to Yang Cheng for successfully passing her Ph.D. defense! Yang will join University of Wisconsin at Madison as a research scientist. [May 2024]: Congratulations to Dr. Ge for the Department of Economics 2024 Outstanding Faculty Graduate Mentoring Award. This is a joint project with Dr. Jian Ni, Dr. Pearl Chiu, Dr. Meng Zhu and Dr. Amalia Miller. [March 2024]: Dr. Ge co-organized the 2024 CES North America Conference. [March 2024]: Center for Future Work Places and Practices hosted NSF's Alan Tomkins for a talk on "Applying for NSF Funding: An Overview from the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences." [March 2024]: Dr. Ge published an article in The Roanoke Times on the origin of cooperation. [VT Science Corner: The Groundwork of cooperation] [March 2024]: Dr. Ge started to serve as an Associate Editor for Journal of Labor Economics. [January 2024]: Dr. Ge chaired a session on "Ageing and Demographic Transition in China" at 2024 ASSA Annual Meeting. [July 2023]: Congratulations to Nazanin Sedaghatkish for successfully passing her Ph.D. defense! Nazanin will join Sam Houston State University as an Assistant Professor. [July 2023]: Dr. Ge gave the Boya Lecture at Liaoning University. [LNU news] [April 2023]: Dr. Ge was invited to be a plenary speaker at the 2023 CES North America Conference. [March 2023]: Dr. Ge visited the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas as an economic consultant.
